Frequently Asked Questions

In case our site isn't as straight forward as we thought.

Making Money

There are two ways to earn money.

Method #1: Commission on sales
You get paid anytime a product is purchased with your designs on it. This includes purchases made during tournaments, from our community shops and of course, from your own swag shop.

Exactly how much money is up to you. When you create your products, you also configure the profit amounts. All earned money will be added to your WAMI account where you can Request a Payout when your balance is over $20.

Method #2: Win a tournament
When you enter a tournament, your design is put up for a vote. Collect the most "likes" and you will win the prize listed for that tournament. Easy -- like stealing candy from a baby... only... less creepy.
You can track your commissions on the "Commissions" screen of your account.

Here you will see products which have received orders and/or collected prize money. You will also see your available balance, payment history and lifetime earnings.

Please note that commissions are awarded once an order is shipped from our top-secret warehouse. So don't worry if your balance doesn't skyrocket immediately after that $1,300 order your grandma just placed.
As much as we'd love to keep collecting interest on your money, we've made it super easy to request a payout. Just head over to your Commissions page and click

Request Payout

What's that, you don't see the button? This means one of two things.

1. You still need to setup your Paypal account.

We leverage Paypal for easy and secure payments to our users.

Head over to the Commissions page, click the ( Setup ) button, and you will be guided through the setup process. Once this gets squared away, you can start requesting payouts.

2. You don't have enough money yet.

The WAMI gods have decided that you must have at least $20 in your account before you can request a payout. Why? Because moving your money around actually requires a bit of our money -- and we want to ensure that everyone is making out good on the deal.

But don't worry -- this isn't some sort of scam. Your money is yours and exceptions can be made in certain extreme situations. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Also, you can read our Terms of Service for a more jargon-y explanation.
Do you want the IRS knocking on your door? If the answer to that question is "Hell NO!", then the answer to "Am I required to report my earnings as income" is, "Absolutely, Yes!"

The U.S. government requires that you report the money you make from WAMI (or any other source) when you file your taxes each year -- even if you don’t want to.

However, while we here at WAMI are borderline geniuses, we are by no means legal experts -- especially where tax law is concerned. We would recommend seeking out a professional on the matter if you disagree with us.
